Overwhelmed by the American west and it's well known majesty I began to develop an unrelenting passion to set out and capture it's beauty in a unique way. There are so many amazing photographers that have mastered the grandness of the West's mountains, lakes, National Parks and wild animals. I wanted to set on a different path. Every place I travel I search for that "picture moment". This is the space in which you fully lose yourself in that moment where time simply stops. It's truly inspirational and my photos reflect the emotion and awe of that particular location and space.

Inspired by Renaissance and Expressionist paintings my desire is to incorporate both motion and three dimensionality that allows the viewer too wander inside of the photo as if you were there yourself.
I hope you feel the same solace and peace as well viewing each photograph.
Once you do - the feeling becomes magical...

MORE ABOUT ME
This project started as a whimsical hobby that began to take on greater meaning I never knew possible. One can easily see how these captured moments are beautiful and the peace and joy they can bring. Over time these moments of peace transcended into thoughts that began to simply make sense in way I never felt conceivable.

As a child who struggled with learning disabilities and resulting anxiety I developed a picture memory different from everyone else. Taking constant pictures in my mind became my only scholastic survival tool to overcome learning challenges - even to this day. My only way to “fake” it was to “take a picture” of everything I could and “categorize” them when needed. The same came true in those amazing moments in nature like awe inspiring sunrises and sunsets. Those flashes of tranquility were captured in my mind with great clarity only to reach back into those portfolio of images under stress and anxiety.

However, I was burdened with the challenge of my left and right brain not connecting hindering my ability transpose the images onto paper or canvas. Through photography I have finally found my outlet to bring these amazing artistic moments to life with purity and ease in moving, unique and fulfilling ways.

I am humbled and honored to recently being a selected as Contributing Photographer for Getty Images. Even more exciting was my Glacier National Park picture as the lead photograph in Outdoor Magazine for the article, "The 11 Most Beautiful Hikes in US National Parks" Having my tiny space with some of the world’s best photographers has simply validated the quality of this work.

This journey has always been about following a passion that I hope brings the same joy and peace I get with each photo. I would be delighted to provide signed framed photographs for charitable causes and events that promote nature conservancy along with organizations providing awareness and assistance for children with learning disabilities. Please feel free to send me a written request with event or cause specifics.

Keep checking in for new pics. I'm adding a new rotating weekly picture section shortly. I hope you feel the same moment awesomeness as I did taking each photo. Thank you for visiting. Enjoy!
